Running up the Mountain at Breakneck Speed

Calendar du 10/03/2024 au 13/04/2024

Running up the Mountain at Breakneck Speed

Madness came riding on an orange horse

And I couldn’t prepare anything

For it came crushing me with its full force

Now I only had a bow with no string

Shadows come from the most lighted places

But once out, I’ll break a leg and start running

Full speed ahead now, while he still gazes

This apparition’s never been so stunning

I only see people worth to love

When they’ve been right about me the whole time

And when I can guess what they’re made of.

A golden lion right up in its prime

Now my glasses are getting foggier

And I can feel my bones melting inside

But I know that I have felt groggier

So I’m not too afraid of the high tide

But as far as I can see, no flags are up

Just the skyline kissing the mountain top

And you tried to warn me of the broken cup

But I was a fool to tell you to stop

Every time that I’ve blinked more than ten times

I see you closer than everyone else

Now that I start to acknowledge the signs

I won’t be needing any of those belts

But I shouldn’t have throw them away so soon

Now I’m starting to lose your affection

To the price of someone else’s afternoon

I think that I’m losing the connection

Now I’m drowning in the mess that I’ve made

But I can’t see any lighthouse nearby

The light I’ve chased is now starting to fade

And I don’t know if I can see the sky

Seems that I’ve lost my smile and my wit

And all of my arrows fell to the floor

Causing an earthquake as they hit it

Now I wonder if I can pass that door

But you’re on the other side and I wonder:

“Will you open the door and let me in?”

I’ll say sorry for letting you down under

And I promise to opt first for my kin
