The Amicale’s Caribbean Dance Section is joining Karaïb’Vibe and Raqs Nefertiti (Strasbourg associations promoting Caribbean dance and culture and belly dancing respectively) to take part in the 13th Paris Tropical Carnival this Saturday.
This annual carnival brings together over 4000 dancers and musicians from the four corners of the globe to bring a taste of Caribbean Carnival to the 200 000 spectators expected to line the streets of Paris.
The Amicale’s Caribbean Dance Section, together with dancers from the Caribbean and a wide variety of other countries and cultures (China, Vietnam, Brazil, Colombia, the Netherlands...) will take part in a colourful parade of amazing costumes and floats with music and choreographies celebrating this year’s theme: cinema.
The highlights of the carnival will be shown on France Ô at 3.20 pm on Sunday 6 July.
