Saturday 18 November: a day at the TNS

Calendar from 18/11/2023 to 18/12/2023

1) Tour of the TNS and the old conservatory from 10am to 12pm, followed by a welcome drink

We invite you to visit the TNS, the backstage area, costume workshop... and to play hide-and-seek with the ghosts in a unique yet little-known part of our urban heritage, Strasbourg 's former Conservatoire de musique et de danse which closed in 1995, after the departure of the Conservatoire national de Région.

Formerly the palace of the Alsace-Lorraine Diet, then the Parliament, the building was constructed by the architects August Hartel and Skjold Neckelmann between 1888 and 1892. It is one of the centrepieces of the town planning scheme implemented in Strasbourg during the annexation of Alsace-Lorraine.

2) Radio live - La relève at 6pm, Espace Grüber - 18 rue Jacques Kablé

Design, image creation and stage performances: Amélie Bonnin and Aurélie Charon. Duration: 2 hours

Join us on Saturday at 6pm at the Espace Grüber, 18 rue Jacques Kablé, Strasbourg, to see the show Radio live - La relève.

Aurélie Charon and Caroline Gillet originally worked together on a radio series about young people.

They wanted to bring young activists with whom they had been in contact from all over the world together on stage, in the same place, at the same time. The result was Radio live in 2013, a show based on sounds and images produced live by Amélie Bonnin.

Among the topics discussed are commitment, identity, minority rights, freedom and new forms of action.

Radio live - La relève continues the conversation started with Ines, Yannick, Martin and Hala. The team filmed in their homes, in Kigali, Sarajevo, Lyons, Verton... to bring their faces, landscapes, stories and the challenges they face to the stage.

Each evening, two people are invited by Aurélie Charon to take the microphone. Between footage and unscripted commentaries, accompanied alternately by musicians Dom La Nena and Emma Prat, Radio live - La relève explores documentary performance through writing for our times.
