Slavic mythology, pagan talisman. Creative workshops and homage to the feminist writer.
This video is a project of the international artistic cooperation realized on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Lessia Oukrainka (Lesia Ukrainka, 1871 - 1913), great Ukrainian and European writer, poetess and playwright, polyglote, feminist activist. The creators of the Motanka art dolls are inspired by characters from Lessia Oukrainka's literary works, especially her fairy-tale drama "The Song of the Forest".
During the school period or during the holidays, reading, as well as creative hobby workshops, are always a good idea! Here is Mavka and the characters from Le Chant de la forêt, created by the children of the Ukrainian School in Strasbourg (5-14 years old) during the workshops held on 6 March.
