The activity report and financial report of the Association for 2017 was presented at the Annual General Staff Meeting on 5 June 2018.
The Amicale’s Caribbean dance section invites you to a festive “Caribbean Christmas” event, which will take place from 6pm to 10 pm on Friday 30 November, in the premises of the European parliamentarian Association, 76 Allée de la Robertsau, Strasbourg.
The Caribbean dance section will be joined by the dance association Karaïb'Vibe and its musicians for this event. The public will be invited to join in with the carols or the chorus; booklets containing the texts of the carols will be distributed to the audience. A few dances will be performed by Karaïb’ Vibe and the Amicale’s Caribbean dance section.
In keeping with the Caribbean tradition, each participant is invited to bring along something to eat or drink (specialities from the West Indies will also be available), which will be shared on a communal “Christmas table”, where everyone can help him/herself.
The organisers are dedicating this evening to the victims of hurricane Irma and hurricane Maria who, a year later, still need our support. An urn will be available for your donations.
The donations which were collected at our Christmas evening in 2017 contributed to the purchase of CD players for teachers in 15 schools on the island of Saint-Martin. The Caribbean dance section and Karaïb’Vibe would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed !
