I am
Vacillating between overwhelm and irritation, it is
the Ordinary, the banal, which moves tectonic plates: a rude
stranger, mispLaced remark, lost keys, leading to molten
lava brooking the surfaCe. Pressure builds; the moment
before the eruption, All is stilled. I
can’t see through the ash clouds of my aNger as the liquid fire races,
overtakes all in its path. It feels godly to master thIs. Afterwards,
I am mastered, spent, silently picking through ruins of havoC.
