Zumba and Modern Jazz classes resuming

DG Danse's Zumba and Modern Jazz classes will resume from 11 September 2023.

Zumba (on Mondays from 12.20 to 1.05 p.m. and on Thursdays from 1.10 to 1.55 p.m.):

Zumba is a dance workout sensation which combines music and exercises from Latin and international dances, creating a dynamic, fun and efficient workout for everyone! No need to be a dancer to succeed with Zumba, now come on and join the party!

NB Monday's Zumba class will be run on a pay-as-you go basis. Each class will be €10 (cash) which should be paid to Didier at the start of each class. Please notify in advance (by Friday before the class) if you are unable to participate.

Modern Jazz (on Mondays from 1.10 to 1.55 p.m.):

Modern jazz dance provides you with a complete workout and many benefits. Gentle in nature, it allows you to work on your posture, balance, flexibility and even your memory. This type of dance also allows you to improve your energy and creativity using dance variation. It is accessible at all levels and all ages.

Rates and conditions:

  • €250 per class/year or €90 per class/term.
  • No classes during the school or public holidays.
  • Inscription and payment by cheque to be made before the resumption of classes in September. Payment to be sent to Brenda Parry (Palais, Bureau 0.107).
  • All participants must be a member of the Amicale.

Inscriptions on a first come, first served basis.

Places are limited, reserve in advance!

The classes will take place in Sports room n° 3 at the Bastion (on the way to the squash court).

Teacher biography:

Born in La Réunion, Didier Guichard is a pluridisciplanary artist choreographer. He graduated from the London Studio Centre and from the Latin and Ballroom Dance Teaching Institute of Toulouse. He is a member of the Fédération Française de Danse de Société (FFDDS).

He teaches and performs in a wide range of dance styles, from academic dances (ballet, contemporary dance, modern jazz), to Hip Hop, afro and social dances (Latin ballroom dances, salsa, Lindy Hop). During his career, he was, among other things, a performer in Britney Spears’ tours, a guest artist to the World Congress of jazz dance in Wiesbaden, a performer in musicals such as “Aladdin”, “Dancing and singing the blues”, and a choreographer for Queen Elizabeth II's Jubilee in 2001.

He is fluent in English and French.
