Screening on Greek modern history
As part of the 5th Greek Circle event, we invite you to the screening of a historical documentary on the long-standing relationship between the hotel "Grande Bretagne" and the historical course of Greece and Athens in particular.
The hotel was built shortly after Greece's independence and is intertwined with its history. Its central location directly opposite the old Palace and the current Greek Parliament has made it a witness to important historical events (coronations, wars, demonstrations, World War II liberation, high-level meetings, etc.). The documentary is a production of Hellenic Radio and Television (ERT).)
The screening will take place on Wednesday, 23 October 2024 (12:30-14:00) at the Projection Room at the Palais.
The documentary is subtitled in English and discussions will be held in English/French for the convenience of non-Greek speaking colleagues.
We will be happy to meet you in person and reflect on Greek history.
