As usual, the Football Section is organising the traditional inter-departmental tournament of the Council of Europe: it’s a friendly tournament between departments, as well as Permanent Representations of the CoE.

Have you been waiting for it since the final whistle of the 2022 edition? It's just around the corner, and we're on it!

The 2022 tournament took place in blazing sunshine, but that didn't stop us from scoring plenty of goals (and conceding a few too) and enjoying a great day out together.

Footballers, save the date! The 2024 edition will take place on Saturday 8th June 2024 at the Stade de l'Ill.

As usual, mixed teams of 7 players will compete on half pitches, in 15-20 min matches. Teams will be allocated to groups by drawing lots.

To sign up your team, we invite captains to contact Eoghan Kelly (eoghan.kelly@coe.int) or Jochen Pauwels (jochen.pauwels@edqm.eu) with your team name by 30th April.

Additional information on the day (including team members’ registration, the tournament regulations, on-site fresh drinks and catering and children’s activities) will be detailed on the tournament website shortly.

In order to cover part of the costs, a contribution of €60 per team is required.

So don't hesitate, sign up with your colleagues and get your boots on!
