Originating in Finland, Nordic walking has its origins in cross-country skiing, with the use of poles with gauntlets to accentuate the natural swinging movement of the arms.

Nordic walking is essentially a convivial activity, offering a feeling of escape and discovery in complete simplicity, while at the same time boosting physical fitness, cardio-respiratory capacity and endurance. The main benefits are:

   - 80% of the body's muscles are exercised, resulting in high calorie

   consumption of calories (+40% compared with traditional walking)

   - Improved posture, leading to less stress on the joints, with a

Walks are always carried out in optimal weather conditions and in a suitable environment.

Bring comfortable sports shoes and a bottle of water. Specific poles with gauntlets can be loaned for the first few sessions.

Annual membership of the Amicale du Conseil de l'Europe is required.

Access to the activity is subject to a fee (see rates below - in addition to Amicale membership).

Wednesdays from 12.15pm to 1.45pm: Departure point near the Octroi, at the entrance to the Parc de l'Orangerie.

(Other departure days may be considered depending on the number of number of participants)
