As the LGBTI+ section of the Amicale, our mission is to create a space of safety and community for LGBTQIA+ Council staff. We also wish to create occasions for learning, debate, and advocacy to better address the situation of all persons affected by SOGIESC-related discriminations.

For persons who identify as LGBTQIA+, we offer a friendly, safe space to organise activities together, network, and participate to local events such as conferences, parties, and of course, the Pride march. For the months of October to November, we are planning to:

• go see the queer-related theatre play “The Silence” in early October at the NTS,
• Have informal aperitifs to get to know each other,
• participate in the commemoration of the Transgender Day of Remembrance and raise awareness,
• create a queer-friendly booklist for recommendations and exchanges… and much more!

For interested allies, our mailing list will share information on our awareness raising activities, as well as on important updates on SOGIESC-related issues within the Council. Interested allies are most welcome to contact us for information and proposals for collaborations!
