"The role of the Red Cross in conflicts"

Philippe BRETON, professor at the University of Strasbourg, administrator of the "French Red Cross" and recognized anthropologist will give a conference on the theme: "The role of the Red Cross in the face of conflicts", at the Cercle Européen, 1 rue Massenet in Strasbourg, close to the Parc de l'Orangerie, on Friday 20 May, 2022, at 7:30 pm during a dinner-conference

Philippe Breton is a Doctor in Psychology, and a PhD in information and communication sciences. He is a professor emeritus at the University of Strasbourg.

Since 2017, he has been the national administrator of the French Red Cross, after having led several humanitarian actions

After having focused his studies on the anthropology of speech, the practices of argumentation and the effects of manipulation on psychological behaviors, he developed research on homicidal behaviors and mass crimes, the notion of "traumatic wave" and also the impacts on mental health of social violence and disasters.

The price of the dinner is fixed at 40 euros, it will take place at the Cercle Européen, 1 rue Massenet in Strasbourg, near the Orangery, on May 20, 2022. 

The payment will be made on the site by check or cash.

This conference including a dinner is organized by the Rotary Club of Strasbourg Ouest.
