Spring of Poets: Day 2

On this Sunday 13 March, the 2nd day of the "Printemps des Poètes", we share a poem composed by the President of the Amicale.

Liberate, deliver

Holed up in a bunker, safe from the bombs,

The blonde girl is alone in her world.

In the midst of the crowd fleeing the slaughter

She sings, and the silence imposes itself on the crowd.

"I left my childhood in summer.

Lost in winter, the cold is for me

The price of freedom.

Liberated delivered,

I'm leaving, it's decided

The stars are reaching out to me."

How can one not be carried away by this concentrated humanity?

How can we not sing the song of freedom with her?

Free, free Ukraine from this atrocious war

Free, free Russia from this cruel despot.
