On this Saturday 27 March, the 15th day of the "Printemps des Poètes", we share a poem composed by our colleague Thierry Lajoie.

 

FROM DAWN TO SUNSET

With eyes still half closed, the dawn awakens,

A little blinded by the sun's rays.

Her hair with morning mists,

Is all dishevelled by this fiery mistral.

Slowly and quietly, the day rises,

Leaving the ending night to its dreams.

Then, on the way, the light grows,

Announcing soon the twelve strokes of noon.

At siesta time, life has dozed off.

Under this soft heat, it allows itself a respite.

Then, at midday, she picks up her bundle again,

Determined to reach the horizon

The last light struggles not to leave,

Melting into the night that they would like to clear.

The ride over, the day can lengthen.

Under the starry sky, he can dream.
