On this Sunday 14 March, the second day of the "Printemps des Poètes", we share the ode to life composed by the President of the Amicale:

ODE TO LIFE

You start with a shout

By crying, by moaning,

Skin-on-skin, open-heart,

You welcome us on this earth.

Then comes the time of innocence

Love without limits

A barracks without a guard house

The infinite time of childhood.

The quest for the self comes next

A voice tells us fast, fast

The desire to cross borders

The need to break down barriers

Fear of getting lost, or of finding oneself

Death pointing the tip of his nose.

Then you raise your voice, you open the way,

Where our self is well hidden

You sow joy, you distilled fear.

You prevent us from staying there.

With age and rites of passage

You teach us to be wise

By biting into the apple of serenity

We taste a piece of eternity.

You are life, you are my life

The one offered to me in this space-time

To give is to give, to take back is to steal

We only lose what we were not able to share.

With this poem I want to say thank you

For this beautiful story of sixty years.
