In Europe, the struggle for women's rights is struggling to make progress. Sometimes it even feels like we are going backwards. The economic consequences of the health crisis have widened the gender gap, and in some Member States women's rights are under direct and violent attack. This is above all the case of Poland, where the Constitutional Court recently chose to make abortion illegal in cases of serious and irreversible foetal malformations.

What can Europe do about this situation? What's new in the EU's strategy for gender equality? What are the key measures in this initiative?

We will try to answer these questions with :

- Irène Tolleret, Member of the European Parliament of the Renew Europe Group, shadow rapporteur of the own-initiative report on the EU gender equality strategy

- Irene Donadio, Senior Lead for Partnerships and Strategy at IPPF European Network (the European network of the International Planned Parenthood Federation)
