To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Organisation, a group of some 20 cyclists, composed of current and former cyclists and diplomats from Member States, undertook to cycle the Helsinki-Strasbourg route.

This 2,400 km journey will last one month. Having left on 17 May, at the Helsinki Ministerial Conference marking the end of the Finnish Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers, the cyclists will pass through Riga, Gdansk, Berlin and Fulda and are expected in Strasbourg on 17 June. The funds collected from sponsors will be donated to a charity in Strasbourg that distributes hot meals to people in need during the coldest months of the year.
