“Walk to Work!” Week - and the winners are…

Written written the 05/06/2018

After an intense and awakening week of walking, we have identified the 3 most active walkers in the Council! However, first, some statistics: over 864 km were walked by 23 colleagues over 5 days. And participants felt the benefits. As well as the fitness boost, colleagues were able to appreciate the nature during their daily strolls, and arrived to work feeling fresh and energised.

Not to mention the environmental impact: we calculated that, if all of the participants had driven a compact car from their respective homes to the office, a total of 580 km would have been driven, resulting in a carbon footprint of 150 kg of CO2. They would have also spent an average of 60€ on petrol.

So, on the occasion of World Environment Day, we are delighted to announce the results of the challenge. In third place, with a distance of 58,8 km was Claudia Elion. In second place, with a distance of 60,2 km, Gulgun Gullu-Rech. Well done to both.

And the winner, having walked a distance of 111,1 km during the 5 days, congratulations to Sam Yoo!!!

The winners will be contacted shortly and are invited to collect their prizes from the Amicale's office in Agora in the end of this week.
