Literary meeting with Bahiyyih Nakhjavani Thursday 26 October 6 pm

Bahiyyih Nakhjavani, born in Iran, grown up in Uganda and educated in Britain will present her literary works, including her last novel Us&Them, published by Redwood Press, Stanford University (2017). Building on her experience of human in exile, Bahiyyih Nakhjavani writes about alteration and reflects on what means to be a foreigner. We are all “corridor people” with a foot in one room and the other in a different one, and a belief in the world as our ultimate home, says the author.

After teaching literature at universities in North America and Europe, she now lives and works in France. Bahiyyih Nakhjavání's books, both fiction and non-fiction, have been published not only in English and French but also in nine other languages (Italian, Spanish, German, Dutch, Greek, Turkish, Hebrew, Russian and Korean). Alongside her literary work,Bahiyyih Nakhjavani conducts creative writing workshops at the Amicale of the CoE.

The meeting will take place on Thursday 26 October 2017 at 6 pm, Room G6, Agora building

This event will be held in both English and French.
