Monsieur Jean-Claude Gall, professor emeritus, Geologist and Paleontologist, Doctor Honoris Causa from the Université of Cluj (Romania) will give a lecture on the origins of man "How we became humans"
Man has not always existed. After the long process of successive geological periods, he progressively broke loose from the animal world. What are the important steps which punctuate this history ? What role did climactic changes have ? How did biological eveloution and cultural development contribute to making us more human ?
