Amicale

To mark the Bulgarian Chairmanship of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers, Amicale is inviting you to celebrate Christmas Market at the Council of Europe. The event is  organised by the Amicale with the support of the Permanent Representation of Bulgaria to the Council of Europe and the European Association "Cyril and Methodius”.

The inauguration of the Council of Europe Christmas market will be attended by Ambassador Katia Todorova, permanent representative of Republic of Bulgaria to the Council of Europe and will take place on 23 November from 12.15 to 2 pm in the Parliamentarians’ Bar.

The activities of the new Amicale section "Bulgarian Language and Culture" will be presented along with an open rehearsal of Bulgarian traditional dances and fun games around the Bulgarian language and the Cyrillic alphabet. A group of young Bulgarians from Roma origin will also offer a pantomime and dance performance.

Finally you are invited to taste traditional Bulgarian food and drinks.

A Bulgarian stand will be held at the Council of Europe (Palais de l'Europe), between 23 and 25 November and in Strasbourg from 27 November with Bulgaria being the guest of honor of 2015 edition of Strasbourg Christmas market. You will find there handmade traditional Bulgarian products with particular emphasis on the Valley of Roses in Bulgaria and organic products based on Bulgarian rose essence.
