Representation of Latvia to the Council of Europe invites you to the “Latvian Days in Strasbourg” that will take place from 10 to 15 February 2015, to mark the Latvian Presidency in the Council of the EU and the 20th anniversary since Latvia became a member of the Council of Europe

 

"Latvian Days " will take place to celebrate the Latvian Presidency in the Council of the EU and the 20th anniversary since Latvia became a member of the Council of Europe10 – 15 February

Exhibition of art works „Breakfast in Europe” (Art Academy of Latvia).

Opening hours:  10 - 13 February from 9.00 to 17.30 / 14 -15 February from 10.00 to 17.00.

Political debate „Contemporary geopolitical choices: role of transatlantic trade and policy”. Participants:  Members of the European Parliament Artis Pabriks (PPE-LV), Andrejs Mamikins (S&D-LV), Daniel Caspary (PPE-D) and representatives of the diplomatic corps of the USA and Canada.

Moderated by Latvian journalist Pauls Raudseps. Language: English.

Concert of Latvian accordionist Ksenija Sidorova.

Ksenija Sidorova is one of the youngest gems of Latvian music. As her mission she sees the necessity to free the accordion from stereotypes and to prove that it is a full-fledged member of the family of classical music instruments.

Venue: Salle du Münsterhof, 9, rue des Juifs, 67000 Strasbourg.

Latvian movie night. Film „Mother, I love you” (J?nis Nords, 2013).

The film has received many international awards as Grand Prix of the International Jury at the Berlin Film Festival and Best Feature Film Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
