The Amicale is sponsoring the Rumba Y Candela 5 Festival from 6 to15 February in Strasbourg. Numerous cultural and festive events will be open to Amicale members and their famileis, including free activities for parents and children. Programme :

•Friday 6 February

Documentary CUMANO (a road-trip takes us out to meet the people of Cuba, a modern, poetic portrait of an unusual country), at 12h15 :  Projection room, Palais, Conseil de l’Europe

•Saturday 7 February

Salsa FLASHMOB by the Candela Association : at 12h30 in IKEA (FREE ENTRY)

CONFERENCE : Lieu de l’Europe, 8 rue Boecklin, 67000 Strasbourg, 15h00-17h00

Meeting with Daniel Chatelin, sound engineer at the Paris 8 University and lecturer on Afro-Cuban musical styles

Theme : "From Africa to Cuba (and on to the rest of the world) : the migration of the bata drums" (FREE ENTRY)

•From 13 to 15 February :  Rumba Y Candela 5 Dance Festival with lots of dance workshops, for beginners through to advanced dancers, plus dance parties in the evenings with various DJs – PRICES : depend on the number of workshops and parties you decide to attend.
