The European Women's Library is launching a short story writing competition open to women of all nationalities, with no age limit or writing experience required.
Original texts in English or French that have never been published are eligible.
Please send your texts in PDF format, 5 to 10 pages long, in Garamond font (size 12 recommended) by February 16, 2026, to the following address: bef.shortstory@gmail.com
This competition will award a prize of 1000 euros and the winning text will be published as part of the European Women's Library. The award ceremony will take place in March 2026.
Participation fees will be used exclusively for the organization of the competition, 10 euros payable by bank transfer to the following account:
