🗣️ “The Human Rights Project in Europe and the World Under Pressure: What Is Going Wrong?”
Dr Tzevelekos will explore the current challenges facing the international protection of human rights and discuss how European and global mechanisms can adapt in an era of growing political and social pressures. Although the event is organised by the Greek Circle, the discussion will focus on developments across Europe and the wider international context, offering insights of general interest to all those concerned with the Rule of Law and human rights protection.

About the speaker:
Dr Vassilis P. Tzevelekos is an academic and practitioner specialising in public international law and human rights, with particular expertise in the European Convention on Human Rights. He is a member (and former Vice-Chairperson) of the United Nations Human Rights Council Advisory Committee and of the Council of Europe’s European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT). He also co-founded and co-edits The ECHR Law Review.
