European Deputy Herbert Dorfmann, President of the European Parliamentary Association, and Ambassador Michael Aastrup Jensen, Permanent Representative of Denmark to the Council of Europe, are pleased to invite you to an evening dedicated to Danish music and culture on Wednesday 22 October at 8 p.m. at the European Parliamentary Association's villa, 76 Allée de la Robertsau, Strasbourg.
If you would like to attend, please confirm your attendance by contacting: contact@ape-europa.eu
The evening will feature a 30-minute flute concert by Claudia Reggio, who will play both the baroque flute and the modern flute. After the concert, a refined cocktail reception with Danish specialities will allow guests to mingle and celebrate the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in a warm and welcoming setting.
Claudia Reggio, a graduate of the conservatories of Buenos Aires and Strasbourg in flute, chamber music and baroque flute, has collaborated with the renowned flutist Mario Caroli and composer Kaija Saariaho, whose artistic talent has greatly influenced her musical development.
During the evening, she will present a programme paying tribute to Danish musical traditions, as well as a selection of works from the Baroque, Romantic and modern repertoires. The programme includes pieces by Telemann, J.S. Bach, C.P.E. Bach, Andersen, Jensen and Carl Nielsen, as well as the traditional Danish piece Flot middag.
The cocktail reception will feature Danish specialities, including beers provided by the Kronenbourg brewery, founded in Alsace in 1664 and now part of the Carlsberg Group.
If you would like to attend, please confirm your attendance by replying to this email.
This initiative is supported by the City of Strasbourg, the European Community of Alsace, the Grand Est Region and the Prefecture of the Grand Est Region.
