If you want to learn how to defend yourself, become stronger, learn simple and effective techniques, and have a lot of fun while doing so – join the Self-Defense section!
The section offers three classes per week covering different aspects of self-defense:
On Tuesday 18.00-19.30 the Krav Maga-based classes focus on realism and simplicity. They have both “theoretical” aspects on prevention, effective mentality, and legality, and very practical aspects of physical strengthening, combative development, and striking.
On Thursday 12.15-13.30 the Brazilian Jujitsu classes focus on skill and resourcefulness. They teach you how to deal with combat on the ground, providing you with techniques both from a self-defense/street perspective and a sportive one, and to think quick under pressure!
On Friday 13.15-14.15 the Goshin Jutsu classes focus on technique and principles. They teach you the martial art of Goshin Jutsu with precision and rigour, providing you with a vast collection of strikes, levers, and projections for your personal arsenal – and are taught by 5’ dan Senseis from the Budo-kai club!
Each class is adapted to the skills, needs, and preferences of the participants. You can come and try out up to three classes before you decide to join us (for just 90 EUR for the whole year, all classes + protections)! Moreover, if you join the section, you will also automatically become part of the Budo-kai club which also offers three Goshin Jutsu sessions per week (Monday and Wednesday evening and Saturday morning) in Niderhausbergen (10 km away from Strasbourg). What a steal!
The Self-Defense section is a small but growing community of people who want to strengthen and protect themselves and each other by working (out) together and pushing our limits, always respecting our own pace and needs. Join us, you will be welcomed right away and accompanied in your path for self-protection and development!
