The Amicale continues the meditation sessions for anyone who is interested. These will take place in the meditation room (payer room, 1st floor) at the Palais on Thursdays. There are a few places available for the session from 12:30 to 13:00.
The sessions are led by Katalin Lerch, a colleague who works at the European Youth Foundation.
Katalin started meditating in 2009, and has been leading meditation courses for beginners and advanced meditators since 2017.
Between 2019 and 2023, she led weekly meditation sessions for the European Youth Centre Budapest staff as part of their wellbeing programme.
In 2024, she started leading meditation sessions for the EYF staff, and in March 2025, the sessions began in the Palais.
Katalin practises Sahaja yoga meditation. Meditation is a state of mind in which the thought process stops and we enter a state of thoughtless awareness.
During practice, we use our inner energy to reach this state. This activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which calms us down and lowers our blood pressure and pulse.
This is an effective way of dealing with stress, tension and exhaustion.
Meditation sessions are free of charge and open to Amicale members.
If you are interested please send an email to Katalin Lerch.
