From 9 to 17 August, the Au grès du jazz festival returns to La Petite Pierre and the surrounding area in the peaceful setting of the Vosges du Nord Regional Nature Park, an hour's drive from Strasbourg. The festival will feature big names in international jazz amidst forests and heritage.
This year's line-up includes singer Ayo, double bassist Avishai Cohen, the spellbinding Flavia Coelho, the magnetic voice of Veronica Swift, as well as the duo Ballaké Sissoko & Piers Faccini in the Church of the Nativity in Saverne, and Angelo Debarre accompanied by Anne Sila, for a unique encounter between gypsy guitar and sensitive song.
Alongside them, a host of lesser-known projects will be taking to the festival stages, from the Place du Château to the Aire Scénique, in venues ranging from intimate to majestic: the Zen temple in Weiterswiller, the Protestant church in Graufthal, the Citadelle in Bitche and more.
The festival combines free concerts and ticketed evenings. To find out more about the program and how to book, visit

It's a great opportunity to escape the city for an evening or a weekend to the rhythm of voices, strings and breaths from afar.
