Lake-side, Rainy May late evening
A need to feel the evening make its rounds
A need to be out of my own mind sounds
Which rain my stomach with these grey cloud thoughts
Here I came, for its inner peace I sought
The day was long, how engagement was forced
But work throws back its satisfaction's source
Lunch brought nourishing light within my sight
Conversation had its intellect bright…
In a moment, a turn, a knifing shudder
My lunch companion became another
I saw it there, in the blink of an eye
Words to her mind had caste its ugly dye
Coloured her eye, reflecting only rain
For now, I know it is her inner pain
Oh Time and Place, how you can me restrict
Pelt us in to this confusing dark mix
This time and place only words can I share
Only words, only words, her soul to bare
Only the minimum to caste its dye
Like poison it enters and her mind cries.
It rains hard, my window screen steamed up
Windows now closed, nature has supped
All 'round is green, a light smoky soft mist
The rain on my roof smacks its wet kiss
I look out in philosophical smile
Enjoy to stare bare like a stressless child
This is a pleasure in silence I share
Send to you in these words I do so dare.
To travel in silence and share this scene
It is there for you, in your mind can be seen
Take time to mind back, yourself to be
Float on lake water, surf out to blue seas
Give to one's spirit this wordless deep whole
Floating calm, calm, calm to one's very soul
