Dear friends of the European Parliamentary Association,

We are glad to invite you to a debate entitled "After the German elections: What’s next for Germany and Europe?”, which will take place on Tuesday 11 March, from 20:00 to 21:15, in the premises of our Association (76 allée de la Robertsau, Strasbourg).

On this occasion, we will have the pleasure of welcoming three Members of the European Parliament from Germany as guest speakers:

• Oliver Schenk, member of the Christlich Demokratische Union Deutschlands (CDU);
• Alexandra Geese, member of the Bündnis 90/Die Grünen;
• Tobias Cremer, member of the Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands (SPD)

Together we will analyse the results of the recent German federal elections and discuss their implications not only for the German political landscape and society, but also for the future of European policymaking. We will explore the potential impact on key European issues such as economic competitiveness, the ecological transition, migration policies, as well as the major challenges facing the EU on the international stage, including the war in Ukraine and the need to manage relations with the new US administration.
