(Class now full - thanks for your interest!)
The Japanese language section of the Amicale is proud to launch a new activity to celebrate the culture of the Land of the Rising Sun. Come and learn the subtle art of Nihonga (multi coloured Japanese painting) and sumi-e (monochrome painting using “Indian ink”).
You teacher will be renowned artist and Japan expert, Manda. See her website for further details: https://www.atelier-manda.fr/contact/
Each class will last 1 and a half hours and we start on Wednesday 12 March at 12.30. in room 88 in the Amicale’s corridor. The price is 30€ per lesson.
You will learn with Manda the philosophy behind this delicate and refined art, as well as the points of technique and the discipline of concentration. She will supply all art materials you will need.
Each work you will complete will last three lessons before moving onto another work.
The painting class may indeed be involved in the illustration of our yearly haiku book, so you basically already have a commission!
