A Heartfelt Thank You for the 2024 Charity Market for Ukraine!

Christmas is a time that invites us to come together and extend a helping hand to those most in need. Once again this year, the Amicale of the Council of Europe wishes to express its profound gratitude to everyone who contributed to the organization and success of our Christmas Charity Market in support of Ukraine.

We would like to extend our special thanks to the 28 countries represented at this event (Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, EU, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Moldova, Norway, Iceland, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Spain, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, and Ukraine), as well as the Amicale Women of the Council of Europe and the Ukrainian section of the Amicale in cooperation with the PromoUkraina association. Through their national stands, they shared their culture, culinary traditions, and artisanal crafts, embodying the values of unity and solidarity upheld by the Council of Europe.

Thanks to your generosity, we raised the incredible amount of €18,523! All proceeds will be donated to the psychological support for children in crisis project, supported by the Émile Foundation and the Children of Heroes NGO. This project aims to provide essential psychological support to Ukrainian children, helping them overcome grief, adapt to their new reality, and cope with the trauma of loss caused by the war.

For those who wish to further contribute to this noble cause, here are the links to the organizations:

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and generosity. Together, we continue to work towards a better future and to uphold the core mission of the Council of Europe: defending human dignity and fostering solidarity in these challenging times.
