On this International Women's Day, the Amicale aims to highlight the remarkable work of Melyca Chaban, an Iranian artist whose collection entitled "Femme-Vie-Liberté” (Woman-Life-Freedom) was exhibited at the Council of Europe from February 5th to March 4th, 2024.Through her artwork, the artist immerses us in a captivating and poignant artistic universe, shedding light on the challenges and injustices faced by women in Iran. Her paintings denounce the abuses perpetrated by Iranian authorities, thus giving a voice to those who are often silenced.
Melyca Chaban expresses her unwavering passion for art and the freedom she found in emigrating and establishing her own painting studio despite the obstacles encountered. Her message resonates with hope and determination, symbolizing the resilience of women in the face of adversity.
