On International Women’s Day, 8 March, the Directorate of Human Resources, in conjunction with Eurimages and the Gender Equality Division, has the pleasure of inviting you to the screening of the film “The County”.
This Icelandic film directed by Grímur Hákonarson explores the theme of empowerment of a woman farmer fighting to save her farm as she stands up to an exploitative cooperative.
It will be shown in the Palais screening room at 12.30 pm on Friday 8 March, in the original Icelandic version with English sub-titles.
The room has a capacity limited to 100 persons and is accessible via the stairway leading down from the Palais de l’Europe entrance hall, opposite the newspaper kiosk. All staff and members of permanent representations are cordially invited to attend.
The film lasts 1 hour 30 minutes and will be preceded by an introduction by the Director of Human Resources, Ylva Berling and Roberto Olla, Head of the Human Dignity and Gender Equality Department.
We look forward to a big turn-out of colleagues eager to discover this film!
