Calendar from 15/09/2023 to 15/09/2023

The back to work party of the Amicale of the Council of Europe will take place on Friday 15 September 2023 at the Restaurant Bleu of the Palais de l'Europe. This festive and convivial gathering is open to staff of the Council of Europe, the Permanent Representations, the European Parliament and the European Ombudsman, as well as to their families and friends.

On the occasion of Latvia's Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers, the theme of the evening will be "In the colours of Latvia", organised in partnership with the Latvian Permanent Representation to the Council of Europe.

Please note: To take part in the evening, you must register online and bring your ID or your badge with you. To register, use your professional e-mail address.

Programme

  • 8.30pm: Doors open - Access via rue Sforza / quai du Bassin de l'Ill
  • 8.50pm: Speech by Denis Huber, President of the Amicale and Mr Jānis KĀRKLIŅŠ, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Latvia to the Council of Europe.
  • 9:00 pm: Musical interlude presented by the traditional folk pop group "Rudzurika".
  • 9.40pm: Glass of friendship offered by the Permanent Representation of Latvia to the Council of Europe.
  • 11.00pm: Musical entertainment - DJ

Dress code: In the colours of Latvia, a surprise will be given to the two most beautiful outfits.

Drinks and snacks: The Eurest team will be serving  snacks and drinks.

Photos and video: The responsible of the Amicale's photo section will be present for the evening. A short video and the photos taken will then be posted on the Amicale's intranet and website. By taking part in this event, you agree to photos and videos being taken. The Amicale declines all responsibility for the distribution of these materials.

Access : via rue Sforza at the back of the Palais de l'Europe - Please bring your ID.

A fundraiser will be organised, during the evening, to support the Strasbourg Action Solidarité association, which distributes 750 full meals every Tuesday at the station and pays for emergency hotel rooms for homeless families.
