On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2023, the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS) is organising a Breakfast Roundtable on Women in Sport which will focus on combating gender-based violence in sport. The event will take place on 8 March from 9.30am to 11.30am in hybrid format (online via Kudo / Palais de l’Europe, Room 7).

During the first part of the event, international experts and guests will present initiatives in place to combat gender-based violence in sport and will share their lived experience in this area. An informal coffee table discussion will follow to address the steps that could be taken to tackle this issue. The relevance and strength of the mechanism of the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence, also known as the Istanbul Convention, will be at the centre of the exchanges.
