The Council of Europe Sport Association has interviewed Christelle Gauzet, Koh Lanta winner and founder of Défi d'Elles.
The Council of Europe Sports Association invites you to discover her interview conducted on 28 November 2022, to find out how the desire to surpass oneself, a taste for outdoor sport and a little daring at the right time can transform a life.
Christelle Gauzet started her career at the age of 18 as a police officer. After starting her career in the Bordeaux police force, she joined the VIP protection service in Paris, an area where very few women work.
In 2008, she made a name for herself on Koh-Lanta: Caramoan (2008), where she joined the Tayak team and came back transformed from her experience. A big winner in the Philippines, her success allowed her to change her life and leave her job. Nicknamed "Lara Croft" by those around her, she is athletic and determined and does not hesitate to take on new challenges. She made her comeback in 2009 in Koh-Lanta: Le Retour des Héros, where she was a member of the Jacaré team, then in 2021, she participated in Koh Lanta All Stars in French Polynesia.
In 2017, she created the Défi d'Elles foundation, and since then has been organising mixed (men and women) multi-sport raids all over the world: Iceland, Croatia, Finnish Lapland, Arcachon (Dune du Pyla), Cap Ferret, Ile d'Oléron, Ile des Embiez, Chamonix Mont-Blanc, Les Alpilles, Port-Leucate and Corrençon-en-Vercors.
The Council of Europe Sport Association invites you to discover her portrait through this open hearted interview.
