Amicale

The Amicale will welcome Jérôme Schweitzer at the Council of Europe for the presentation of the catalogue of the exhibition " Face au nazisme: le cas alsacien " presented at the BNU Strasbourg until 15 January 2023.

The exhibition looks back at the history of Alsace in the 20th century, from the rise of Nazism in the 1930s, to the annexation, and then the post-war period, thanks to the latest contributions of modern historiography, in other words the history of how history is written. Themes that are almost a century old and yet still of relevance today.

On this occasion Frédérique Neau-Dufour will also present her novel, La villa des genêts d'or, the story of a villa on the slopes of the Vosges, from its abandonment to its requisition during the Second World War, up to the construction of a concentration camp a few steps away.

The opportunity to examine the history of Alsace from a fresh perspective.
