On this Thursday 24 March, the 13th day of the "Printemps des Poètes", we share a poem composed by a member of the Amicale, Dantès.
FEMININE
Beautiful
Like the day that is dawning
On the plain of Morvan
While the living is dying out
And the fear of war spreads
Sovereign
In her queenly finery
Her Achaean garments
Dreamlike, sirenic
Tragic, Italian
Fertile
As a Goddess of the Nile
Abundant, lyophile
Fruity, infantile
Matrix of the islands
Fragile
With a look of ashes
Redraws the world
The weapons made to give up
With a jocund smile
Strong
In the midst of cohorts
Of perils, of sowbugs
Artemis or Amazon
Soaring on her throne
Fatal
Secret
Tamer
Poet
Mysterious
Exquisite
Lascivious
Submissive
Playful
As she pleases
Solar
With a gesture,
A grace
From within her
Illuminates the night.
