Dear members, friends of Alsace-Crete,
We were shocked by the catastrophic fires that ravaged and destroyed the island of Evia this summer. A large part of the island was transformed before our eyes into an inferno and then into a field of ruins. Some 100,000 hectares of forest and farmland went up in smoke. Hundreds of homes were destroyed. Faced with such a tragedy, we could not remain indifferent. Alsace-Crète therefore wishes to bring its support to this martyred island.
