PORTRAITS OF THE DAY: Daniela and Florencia VERRA, two sisters with amazing backgrounds

Calendar from 04/12/2019 to 13/12/2019

Complicit, touching and committed, Daniela and Florencia Verra's personalities will not leave you indifferent. Half Argentinian, half Italian, the two sisters have recently settled in Alsace, which they consider to be their "adopted" country. With a Master's degree in Administration for one and a doctorate in Neurochemistry for the other, there was nothing predestined for them to start an artistic career. And yet....

Love, revealing talent:

It was love that led Florencia to settle in Alsace in 2015. While she didn't speak a word of French, she had only one certainty: she had met her half and would stay by his side. Aware that her degree in administration would not be of much use to her in France, Florencia had the brilliant idea one day to make her passion for cooking her profession. It had to be started all over again, but nothing frightened this courageous woman who successfully passed her pastry diploma. A year ago, the "Gâteau mon Amour" pastry shop was founded in the heart of Oberhausbergen and was a great success from the very beginning. And for good reason, each creation is, as a unique piece, a true work of art.

"Gâteau mon Amour" is a beautiful tribute to the love she has for her companion and her adopted region. Florencia, faithful to her convictions, has gone to the end of his ideas by using only local companies: the flour comes from the Hurtigheim Mill, the eggs from the Bischoffsheim Gay Farm, the sugar from Erstein... Concerned about the health of consumers, all his creations are preservative-free.

At the Council of Europe Christmas Market, Florencia will present you its magnificent boxes of orange, lemon, chocolate and vanilla shortbread. You will also discover some Argentine specialities, alfajors, made with milk jam covered with dark chocolate or icing.

Pride in promoting your culture:

A researcher at the University of Neurochemistry at the University of Strasbourg, Daniela is a committed woman who passionately defends Argentine culture and craftsmanship. Proud of her origins and very committed to the field of fair trade, Daniela has brought together local talents to offer, with her own, unique creations.

Rings, earrings, necklaces and brooches illuminate its stand where you can admire multiple treasures made of bronze, copper and semi-precious stones. It is with passion that Daniela evokes one of the artists, a "hermit" who finds his inspiration in the poetic "Mountain of Seven Colors" located in the village of Purmamarca. Unique pieces that will delight your loved ones.
