The ‘Orchestre Universitaire de Strasbourg’ and the ‘Ensemble Vocal Universitaire de Strasbourg’ will perform for its world premiere the operatorio Boulevard de la Dordogne, composed by Gualtiero Dazzi, composer in residence at the Strasbourg conservatory.
This operatorio conveys the testimonies collected from people evacuated or expelled from Strasbourg in 1939 at the beginning of the Second World War as well as people fleeing the barbarism of current conflicts, now refugees in Strasbourg and the region.
Accompanied by music and poetry, all these anonymous voices begin to dialogue with each other in this lyrical and memorable work. Only the story of Shéhé, a young Syrian refugee student at the University of Strasbourg, stands out through the poems recited by Michèle Finck throughout the work.
