We would like to bring to your attention that the Maison d'Europe Strasbourg Alsace (MESA) is organising the exceptional "Odyssée de l'exil" concert as part of the Strasbourg Méditerranée Festival in partnership with Alsace Crete, the Hellenic Community and the Istituto italiano di Cultura.

This concert will take place on Wednesday 27 November at 8pm at Munsterhof, 9 rue des Juifs.

The performers of this concert will be:

-Francesca Sorteni (soprano)

-Dionysos Idis (bass)

-Daniela Tsekova (piano)

Melodies in Italian and Greek related to exile and wandering will be performed. Given the migratory movements that Italians and Greeks have experienced several times in their history, the Greek and Italian repertoires are very rich on this theme.  But how can we not think that today, it is in Italy and Greece that many asylum seekers and migrants are trying to surrender. History repeats itself over and over again, but with different paths...
