MARCH FOR EUROPE: LET US BE HEARD

Calendar from 14/10/2019 to 19/10/2019

This will be a friendly and good-natured protest march in support of a positive role for the UK in Europe (non-political and non-affiliated) and to show solidarity with the pro-Europe march that will take place in London on that day. Whether you want to show support for the EU, opposition to Brexit, rejection of ‘no deal’, support for a People’s Vote, or anything similar, please join us.

Who? All are welcome. All ages. All nationalities.

When ? Saturday 19th October, 2-4pm

Where? Assemble outside the main entrance of the European Parliament from 2pm.

The route: Departure between 2:30-3:00 pm, walk towards the ECHR, along Avenue de l’Europe past the Palais de l’Europe and the Parc de l’Orangerie, turn left into Boulevard de l’Orangerie and then along to Rue Gottfried and the British Permanent Representation at 18 rue Gottfried.

Bring: EU flags, UK flags and other national flags; banners and placards; whistles, drums, and other instruments; rain-protective clothing.

Why go to the British Permanent Representation? They are the official representatives of the UK government in Strasbourg and should be able to report back to their bosses in the UK about our protest and strength of feeling.

Unlike in Parliament Square, there will not be a stage in rue Gottfried for speakers etc; as it’s a residential area, we should only stay there for a short time before dispersing.
