The activity report and financial report of the Association for 2017 was presented at the Annual General Staff Meeting on 5 June 2018.
The Court’s Film Club and the Amicale cordially invite you to the screening of The OJ Simpson trial (English OV).
O.J. Simpson arose from the counsel table at his murder trial and approached the jury box with the famous leather gloves. As he struggled to get them past his knuckles, he held his hands up to jurors and stated the obvious: "They're too small.” – which prompted his charismatic lawyer, Johnny Cochran, to conjure the jury with what has become the most memorable line ever said at a courtroom hearing: “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit!”
On 26 March 2019, the Film Club wants to take you onto a journey into the depths of “The Trial of the Century” – the trial of OJ Simpson for murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her new partner Ronald Goldman. A trial that was not about evidence. It was about race, strategy, and divided America.
Our colleague Hyun-Soo Lim from Yale Law School has kindly agreed to present the most important facts and circumstances of the case and the trial. Her narrative will be accompanied by sequences of actual footage of the courtroom hearings.
Court’s Press Room, Tuesday 26 March 2019, 12:30 am, 90 min (Reminder: no food/drinks can be brought into the screening room)
