The next concert of the Quatuor Florestan, string quartet of Strasbourg, and Jean Louis Georgel, baritone will take place on Saturday 2 June at 8.30pm in the Church Sainte Aurélie, rue Martin Bucer, located in the Railway Station district (tram station: Faubourg national).
In the core of the original program entirely dedicated to works of Franz Schubert: a series of Lieder (songs) accompanied by the stringquartet: original transcription - scores composed by Philippe Lindecker, leader of the Quatuor Florestan and solo violin of the O.P.S.
The concert will begin with the famous Quartettsatz D703, the only piece of an unachived quartet.
In the second part of the concert the musicians will perform the 15 th Quartet in G Major, the last work for the string quartet composed by the Viennese genius, a masterpiece developed in four mouvements and one of the most romantic treasures.
