On Friday, 29 April 2016, at 16h30, the presentation of the Russian translation of the book on the fate of Alsatian prisoners of war during the WWII will take place in salle A1.04V - Agora (Amicale's corridor). The book “Tambov: Chronicles of the Captivity” was written by Charles Mitschi (1917–2008), a school teacher from Soultzeren, about his long months of captivity in an internment camp near Tambov in Central Russia.
The book was for the first time published in Russian at the end of 2015. It will be presented by Ms. Lioubov Shenderova-Fock, who translated it and provided historical commentaries to the text. All those interested are welcome to attend the presentation that will be held in Russian.
