Ni Nyoman Rosita UJIANTI-YORDEY was born in Banyuwangi, Indonesia, in the far east of Java, on December 6, 1974, from a Balinese father and Javanese mother.
She graduated from Widya Gama University in Malang and worked for a long time in the tourism industry. First in grand hotels from Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and Ubud in Bali, such as the Ritz Carlton and the Four Season, then in the Maldives.
When she arrived in France, in Strasbourg, she got married and created in 2013 the massage salon AYU bien-être.
Artistic activities always occupy an important place in her life. From Hindu culture, she learns dance at a very young age and participates in several competitions in Indonesia. But it is the painting that really animates her, although little encouraged by her parents.
It is in France that she succeeds in revealing her art and exhibiting her paintings, under the name of Rosi, in spaces such as the Villa Schutzenberger (Strasbourg 2018), the Hotel Régent Petite France (Strasbourg 2019), the Hotel Boma (Strasbourg, 2021) and the Quai des Arts (Strasbourg 2022).
Her paintings, very colorful, often represent landscapes, trees and places that she has discovered during her travels, always interpreted in her own way. The oil paint is applied to the canvas with her fingertips, without a brush, with her bare hands, to better be one with the material.
Most of her paintings are 100cm x 100cm. Other formats also exist: 30cm x 60cm, 150cm x 120cm...
