Access rules for Squash Section members

Members may book a maximum of 2 sessions per 5 consecutive days. Booking must be made 5 days in advance if two members of the section are playing together, and 5 days in advance if a member of the section is playing with a guest.

The court is open from 8am to 8pm on weekdays. It is not accessible at weekends or on public holidays.

A squash session lasts 1 hour, or 45 minutes at peak times between midday and 2.15pm.

Guest access rules (internal or external)

Would you like to introduce squash to a CoE colleague or a friend who is not a member of the Squash Section? You can do so from 8am to 8pm on weekdays, for a fixed fee of €4 per session.

It is the guest's individual responsibility to ensure that their state of health allows them to play squash and that they are covered in case of an accident.

The guest's first and last names are requested when the member books the court, for tracking purposes.

The rules for access to the building vary according to whether the guest is a member of the CoE staff or not a member of the CoE staff (external guest).

For your colleague, internal guest, holding a badge with photo, the access to the “Bastion” and to the inner courtyard can be done by the mail door between the distribution and the mail service on level -2 or by the annex II entrance (rue Spach). To return to the Palais, use the same mail door if it is open, otherwise exit via rue Spach.

For your friend, external guest, you must request a visitor's badge (in principle 24 hours before the planned day). On the day, you will need to collect your friend from the main entrance to the Palais, where a visitor's badge will be issued on presentation of an identity document. Access to the “Bastion” and the inner courtyard can be done by the mail door between the distribution and the mail service on level -2. Return to the Palais via the same mail door if it is open, or via rue Spach.

It is your responsibility, as a Squash Section member, to collect your guest and accompany him/her for the duration of his/her presence on the Organisation's premises. You are also responsible for the guest's behaviour during this time.
